THE Big Red Car is rolling into the Ballarat Wildlife Park with Blue Wiggle, Lucia Field named the organisation’s new conservation ambassador.

The appointment is the start of a partnership which aims to promote wildlife conservation, education and engagement with native fauna.

Field will help the park raise awareness about endangered species and the importance of preserving wildlife.

“I’m so excited to become part of the Ballarat Wildlife Park family,” said Field.

“Animals have always been close to my heart, and I can’t wait to share the wonder of our wildlife with kids and families across Australia.

“Together, we can help ensure that future generations grow up appreciating and protecting the amazing creatures we share this planet with.”

It is hoped the partnership will inspire children and families to connect with nature, and one of the park’s koala joeys has been named Lucia after the superstar kids’ entertainer.

“Lucia’s role as the Blue Wiggle brings joy to so many children, and we are delighted to have her join us as a conservation ambassador,” said Ballarat Wildlife Park director, Greg Parker.

“Her passion for conservation and education aligns perfectly with our goals, and we look forward to working together to foster a greater understanding of wildlife.”
