Native sculptures are the symbolic guardians of trees planted by local school children.
Created by local sculptor Mellissa Beatty, the three kangaroos were installed near the Scout Hall at Telford Park in Darley.
The kangaroos mark the site where local primary school children helped plant over 500 trees and share their location with a plaque, to acknowledge the efforts of Darley and Pentland Primary School children and the contributions of Grow West and Moorabool Shire Council.
Support for the project also included Bacchus Marsh Redgum & Garden Centre and Moorabool Shire Council’s Child, Youth & Family Services.
