You can drive change

Does car parking in Moorabool drive you up the wall? Now is the time to have your say on Council’s parking plans, with a Draft Parking Policy and Parking Strategy up for feedback.

Council currently has no Parking Strategy or Policy, and implementing them will allow for a coordinated, consistent, and transparent approach for providing and managing car parking across Moorabool both now and into the future.

The Strategy sets out five guiding principles: maximise use of existing parking, meet future parking demand, localised parking requirements, increase travel by other modes, and maintain rural charm of towns.

Council is running two drop-in sessions where Council staff will be available to discuss the documents and listen to your feedback – the first is at the Ballan Mechanics Institute from 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm on Tuesday 29 November, and the second is at the Lerderderg Library from 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm on Thursday 1 December.
