The Centre held their weekly competition on Saturday morning at Masons Lane Reserve.

Conditions were perfect for athletics, and athletes were rewarded with a total of 348 PBs for the meet. Darley Bakehouse PB Stars of the Week were awarded to Lola Parsons and Caleb Hurst, with both achieving PBs in all events.

Under 16 athlete Mackenzie Estlick set 2 new Centre records on the track. The first was set in the 70 metres, in a new record time of 9.71 secs. The second record saw Mackenzie cross the finish line in a time of 13.09 secs for the 100m sprint.

Centre Captain, Sam White bettered his own Under 17 1500m record, stopping the clock in a time of 5:28.54 mins.

Little Athletics Victoria have now released full progressions for the State Track & Field Championships to be held at Casey Fields on March 9 & 10.

BMLAC will now be represented by the following 21 athletes in a total of 48 events – Halo Arahanga, Mya & Skyla Berryman, Jacob Cassar, Anni Clarke, Mia Dutt, Mackenzie & Myah Estlick, Alexis Farrell, Evelyn & Mathilde Grant, Nyah Halfhide, Caleb Hurst, Nicholas Ibrahim, Alex Lloyd, Harrison & Patrick Lovett, Nicholas Mai, Eni Olaitan, Emma Stewart and Sam White.
