THE CENTRE’S weekly competition was held at Masons Lane Reserve on Saturday morning.

The sprinters battled in out on the track with a challenging head wind, although athletes should be extremely proud of their achievements, with almost 200 PB results being recorded for the meet.

Joshua Askew was awarded the Darley Bakehouse PB Star of the Week recording 5 PBs.

On Saturday the Centre was represented by over 50 athletes at the Maryborough Little Athletics Open Day held at Jack Pascoe Reserve.

Bacchus Marsh walked away with an astounding 45 Gold, 35 Silver and 35 Bronze medals.

The following athletes set new Open Day records: Blaithe Fletcher U8 70m, Atlas Ferreira U9 800m, Harbin Aujla U9 800m, Emma Stewart U17 SP, Dis, LJ, Sam White U17 800m, 1500m.

Next Saturday the Centre will conduct program 2, commencing at 8.30am.

A Lap for Kids will be held prior to the first event, with all athletes and family members encouraged to walk a lap of the track for a gold coin donation towards the Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal.
