Last Saturday’s Coles Community Round started off with family relay races as warm-up events.  All junior athletes received a Coles gift from the lucky dip at the conclusion of their 70 metre events.  Coles medals were then presented to 100m runners who recorded PBs.  Remaining medals were then presented to the early 200m races.  Open age athletes and officials all received Coles caps.

Athletes participated in the red/Coles dress-up theme for the meet. Best dressed Coles vouchers were presented to Jonas Cukavac, Lincoln Braszell, Braydn Rich, Cindy Hawken, Emma Stewart, Lily Norman, Iyla Robinson, Myah Estlick, Mackenzie Estlick and Issy Conroy.

Another new Centre record was set for the meet.  Emma Smith reduced her own Under 16 200m record, with a new time of 28.49 secs.

PB Star of the Week was awarded to Thomas Ibrahim who recorded six personal best results for the meet.

Next week the Centre will be conducting a Lap for Kids, with participants donating a gold coin to walk a lap of the Masons Lane Reserve track, and all monies raised will be donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
