Creswick 9/99 def Ballan 97

Batting – Jack McGregor 35, Daniel Pascoe 13*
Bowling – Kobe Heafield 8-3-5-17, Hayden Micallef 6-0-2-37

Ballan couldn’t blame the disappointing batting display on the gusty weather as Creswick’s bowling was tight and with a few 50/50 decisions. Ballan was bowled out for 97, with only Jack McGregor making a noteworthy score (35) and Daniel Pascoe (13*) ran out of partners.

With ball in hand, Ballan were right into it. Having Creswick four down next to nothing. Kobe Heafield and Jack McGregor bowled exceptionally well with wickets falling regularly. Heafield’s bowling was on fire, taking 5/17. Captain Hayden Micallef picked up two and one for both Jack and Ryan. Unfortunately, the big hitting man, Jones, from Creswick, won the game with his unbeaten 48*, with one wicket in hand. Creswick reached the total nine down for a very close finish.
