With a rapid start Ballan progressed the game with four early wickets, seeing Bacchus Marsh 8/68 at drinks. Both openers bowled very tight with numerous unplayable deliveries, a mammoth effort from both Kobe Heafield and Jack Jarvis.
The last two wickets became a matter of patience, as Ballan bowled a great line and length and gave nothing up, whilst the Bacchus Marsh 8th wicket partnership, hung around for 30 odd overs, putting in around 80 runs, it wasn’t until Jack Jarvis came back on with the wind, that the breakthrough came.
Lachie Snaith picked up the last wicket a few overs later to end the innings and come away with the win.
