Wendouree elected to bat first on another windy day in Ballan. Jack and Kobe bowled beautifully with no luck in their opening spell, as the ball hooped and saw the batsmen barely feeling bat on ball. Brady Naeff continued the great bowling by picking up 2 wickets, and only going for 17 off his 9 overs. Post drinks saw Wendouree attack, and the runs began the flow, Hayden picked up two, and Jack picked up a late one, but Wendouree batted their overs 5 down for 194.

Ballan did not have the start they wanted, all 3 top order batsmen were dismissed for ducks. Fill in Alex Cairns steady the ship for a short time and until Jack Jarvis and Ryan Lister threw the major counter. Hit huge boundaries regularly and creating a much needed partnership, the boys took the game deep, Ryan departing for 40 and Jack continuing a small partnership with Daniel Pascoe. Both were soon dismissed which saw Noel bat very well with the tail, unfortunately both Marty and Brady were run out. Noel remained on 26 no and Ballan fell despairingly short of the target by 2 runs.
