Ballan was tasked with taking all of the 10 Ballarat Redan wickets on day 2 of their match.

The bowling was started brilliantly by Jack Jarvis and Lachie Snaith whose consistent lines and lengths troubled the batsmen.

Jack was the pick of the bowlers through the day and his first spell was absolutely outstanding with his pace the real key.

Regular wickets fell through the innings with Jack and Lachie setting the tone from the start.

Good tight bowling through the middle overs by Michael Snaith and Hayden Micallef meant that runs were hard to come by and wickets again regularly fell putting Ballan in a great position most of the day.

Good fielding by all involved was also key to putting the batting side under pressure.

Eli Muir and Ryan Lister came on later on in the day and kept the pressure on with both snagging wickets to give Ballan a much-needed victory which keeps their hopes of a finals series alive.

A huge win that sets up a last round clash against Golden Point with Ballan needing to win, a task which all the boys are ready for.

The Ballan 1st side would also like to extend our deepest thoughts and sympathies to the Snaith family (Jess, Michael, Lachie and Will) who have had a really difficult week with the passing of Bruce.

Definitely puts things into perspective and they should know we are all thinking of them at this very difficult time.
