Brown Hill/Ballan 2/114 v East Ballarat Brown 3/102

Brown Hill/Ballan batted first after losing the toss under grey skies at Vic Park 10.  Vice captain Jai Singh (Ballan) stepped in to open the batting with his Brown Hill partner and the pair pushed us off to a rollicking start with an opening partnership of 47 from the first five overs.  Charlotte Wallace (Ballan) then formed a solid combination with her Brown Hill partner batting for a long time and turning over the strike with good running between the wickets.

In the field, the wind picked up and the players tried to keep their hands warm in the field.  James Bayard (Ballan) came on a change bowler each picking up a wicket with some shine still on the ball.   Jai Singh(Ballan) also bowled well without luck with the fielding at a very good standard.

Batting – Ryan Lister 19, Jackson Hunt 17no, Ned Loft 11no

Bowling – J. Singh 2/0/2/10, S Burton  2/1/1/4, E Muir. 4/0/1/20

Ballan Captain Jack Jarvis won the toss and elected to bat. After our openers fell quickly, Ned Loft and Jackson Hunt steadied the ship with 17 and 11 not out and will continue batting next week. With the ball golden point got on top early, until later in the innings with Josh Singh taking two wickets to even out the game.
