Ballarat FNL boys triumph over Hampden

REPRESENTATIVE players from the Ballarat Football Netball League headed to Warrnambool last weekend for a day of footy against Hampden Football Netball League reps.

Ballarat Under 23s men beat Hampden 11.15 (81) to 7.8 (50). Ballarat’s Under 17s men were also the victors, 14.13 (97) to 3.7 (25), with Will Swan and James Hardinge strong performers.

Ballarat Under 19s women were defeated, kicking two points, while Hampen managed 6.9 (45).

The Under 23 men had a 31-point win.

 

Bacchus Marsh Under 23s involved were Rye Penny, Josh Huxtable and Isaac Nixon, while Darley Under 23s included Drady Wright and Zane Le Huray.

Bacchus Marsh Under 17s involved were Flynn Smith, Jacob Martin, and Cody Salmon, while Darley Under 17s included James Hardinge (a stand-out on the day) and Rhys Younger.

The Under 19 women brought a splash of pink to the field.

 

Darley’s Matilda Rawlings played for the Under 19 women, as did Bacchus Marsh’s Christine Oliver, Summer Marchewka, Sarah-Rose Horsey, Remy Veith, Olivia Dilges, and Keily Layne Salisbury.

The Hampden league incorporates Portland, Hamilton Kangaroos, Port Fairy, Koroit, North Warrnambool Eagles, Warrnambool, South Warrnambool, Terang-Mortlake, Cobden and Camperdown.
