MEMBERS of Pentland Calisthenics College (PCC) traded in their leotards for formal wear over the weekend with the advent of the institution’s awards night.

Held at Melton’s Staughton College on Saturday, PCC president Gayle Stewart said it was a rewarding way to cap off a year of competing.

“It’s a chance for us to all get together as one Pentland family to celebrate the achievements of the teams over the year,” she said.

“We don’t get a lot of chances to get together so this is a nice way for everyone to come together and hear about what each section’s year was like and thank those who helped get the girls on stage.”

About 140 people including coaches, students and family witnessed more than 30 award recipients share the spotlight, with others called up to receive their medals won throughout the competition season.
