Darley crowned cricket champions

Darley’s First XI has won its inaugural BCA title in unprecedented circumstances following the cancellation of the weekends scheduled Grand Final against Golden Point due to ongoing concerns surrounding the corona virus.
The Lions were announced BCA champions given their superior position on the ladder. While it’s unfortunate for the challenging Golden Point, acceptance of the ruling handed down should be deemed ‘fair’ given the Lions remained undefeated all season. For the record, Lions Club President Rod Ward wrote to authorities stating the Darley Cricket Club was strongly in favour of the Grand Finals proceeding.
