Discus star makes national Championships

A Moorabool athlete has qualified for the Australian All Schools Championships, and will represent the state in South Australia in December.

Bacchus Marsh Little Athlete Bridie Shanahan qualified for the Victorian squad late last month, with messages of congratulations flying in for her on the Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics Centre (BMLAC) Facebook page.

The achievement comes after Ms Shanahan won silver in the Under 17 Discus at the Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championships on October 30, with a throw of 34.44 metres.

The Australian All Schools Championships will be held in Adelaide from 9 – 11 December, at SA Athletics Stadium.
