BM Little Aths – Centre Champions
Dolphins – Champion Club
The Bacchus Marsh Little Athletic Centre celebrated the end of season on Saturday with their Championship Day.
The weather definitely put the athletes to the test as they tackled the strong, swirling winds along with freezing temperatures. The morning session was conducted without interruption, although the black clouds lingered above. The afternoon session got underway but wasn’t long before the clouds opened, and competition was delayed for a short period. The blue skies soon appeared enabling the remainder of the program to be finalised. Athletes managed to complete their 5 favourite events, and many were rewarded; with the first 3 placegetters in each event presented with a medal.
After completion of events all athletes and supporters joined together for the Centre presentations. 10-year Little Athletics Victoria service awards were presented to Hayley Spargo and Jesse Bullard. 7-year service awards were presented to Keira Bresnan, Tansy Seymour, Summer Brigham, Lachlan Goodman, Kira Watts, Ava Conroy, Tyrah Doyle, Darcy Drew, Murphy Harrington, Caitlin Mai, Eliza Schembri, Matilda Schembri, Kira Watts. Emma Smith, Jade Smith and Nate Sadhai are still waiting on certificates from LAVic.
