Another full weekend of competitions on the 13th and 14th of August. All sections have now completed their first competition and got those back on-stage nerves out of their system.
Last weekend started with our littlest performers, bright and early Saturday morning back at Penola Catholic College in Broadmeadows for the second time. The Tinies (3 – 7 yrs) had their number called out for the following placings: Highly Commended (5th) Free Exercises & Song with Action, Honourable Mention (4th) Rods & Character Dance.

The afternoon was spent with the Intermediates (11 – 17yrs) over at Aquinas College in Ringwood for their Mountain Districts Competition. They were awarded a Highly Commended for each of their performances across their first competition of the year – March, Clubs, Free Exercises, Rods, Rhythmical Aesthetics and Dance Arrangement.

Sunday afternoon saw our oldest performers step out under the lights for their Coastside Competition held at the Wyndham Cultural Centre in Werribee. The age range of the 12 members of the Masters team is 33 – 80 years of age. After a bit of a nervous start they settled into the competition and achieved the following places: Honourable Mention: Clubs & Free Exercises, 3rd Rods, 2nd Calisthenic Revue.

This weekend will see the Sub Juniors take to the stage for the second time at Coastside, Werribee.
