MOORABOOL NEWS EXCLUSIVE
Following an independent investigation, initiated by the Ballarat Football League (BFL) on Wednesday July 4 into the post-match melee of Darley Football Clubs Round 10 encounter with North Ballarat City, the Moorabool News can reveal both Darley coach Heath Scotland and ruckman Abe Kur, were referred to the BFL tribunal – charged with their involvement.
Scotland and Kur pleaded guilty to the charge and were handed reprimands following a hearing on Monday July 9.
Kur was also charged with kneeing and received a two-match suspension.
As a result of this finding the Darley Football Club has appealed to the VCFL independent tribunal.
His (Kur) availability for this Saturday’s all important local derby against Bacchus Marsh is unknown at this stage.
Scotland is currently serving his second week of a three-week suspension as a player for dissent. He is able to coach and will be available to return playing in Round 14.
The North Ballarat City Football Club were not involved in the melee.
