SUMMER DEHNERT

OUR first T20 of the season saw us at home against Mount Clear.
Captain Erin elected to Bat first. Sarah and Nat got us started, Sarah taking the first ball.
Four balls later she yorked herself batting out of the crease and lost her stumps, out for 2.
Kori joined Nat in the middle scoring a 22 run partnership with some quick running before Nat hit one high and long to deep square leg caught for 13.
Sami ventured out in typical Sami form scoring boundaries including a six off the edge before running herself out for an impressive 22 off 9.

Shameka was at the crease shortly before drinks. The two young guns running well between wickets and scoring freely, before Shameka was out, caught on 19.
Maddie made a short visit to the middle before losing the middle peg to a great delivery on 3. Sav joined Kori in the 17th both seeing out the innings with Sav on 2 and Kori making a handy 36.
Ballan finished with a defendable 5/128.
Mariah and Shameka got the bowling innings under way bowling tight lines. Shameka managed to pick up a wicket in her first over with a catch taken by Nat
Her second over carried on claiming another wicket this time bowled. Sarah and Nat kept it tight with the batters struggling to make runs.
Wicket keeper turned bowler Kori was next with the ball, a break through coming in the form of a run out with Shameka before claiming 2 bowled as well.

Erin and Bronwen rolled the arm over unlucky not to get one with a few chances falling into gaps. Nicole claimed a wicket combining with Sami behind the stumps for Sami’s first stumping.
Sarah claimed the last wicket of the match with a catch of the year contender, full stretch diving to the side caught and bowled! Spectacular! Mount clear finished short of Ballan’s score and they walked away with the points!

Ballan’s innings opened with Jack McGregor (13) and Ryan Lister (56) putting on a 1st wicket stand of 68 before Jack was caught out.
