BACCHUS Marsh’s Under 11A Mixed side have secured the cherry on top of a flawless season, claiming the premiership in a battle against Melton South.

Bacchus Marsh won the toss and elected to bowl first, with each Bulls bowler bowling a good line and length, making it difficult for Melton South to score.

Highlights for the strong bowling performance were the stingy efforts of Elijah Macdonald (1/2 off 2 overs) and Zach Hose (1/9 off 3 overs).

In the field, the Marsh were led by Cohen Gardiner with 2 direct run outs, before Beau Graham opened the batting and made a massive 31, including 3 fours and 2 sixes.

The Bulls will surely feel they deserved the win after an undefeated season, but the Melton South side should hold their heads high, having made the season-long flag favourites work for the ultimate victory.
