It was a night to remember for reinsman Mark Pitt at Tabcorp Park Melton last Saturday, who not only produced another winning double but also brought up his 500th\u00a0career victory.<\/p>\n

Pitt steered Emma Stewart\u2019s very smart and well bred Major Celebrity to victory in the TAB Sapling Stakes, the two-year-old colts and geldings\u2019 headliner a great bout between the winner and Aaron Dunn\u2019s impressive Little Louie.<\/p>\n

While the latter produced a bold challenge, Major Celebrity had the answers to win by 1.2 metres and bring up Pitt\u2019s milestone.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always good to get one winner, let alone to drive 500,\u201d Pitt told TrotsVision.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be driving winners like I am, it\u2019s just a dream come true,\u201d Pitt said.<\/p>\n

\u201c(Major Celebrity\u2019s) still very green in this stage of his preparation but when he works out (how) to be a racehorse I think he\u2019s going to be a pretty nice one.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t driven many of the two-year-olds colts at this stage, but I would say he\u2019s at the top of the tree. He was a lot better tonight than he was at his previous start, going into the future there will be some bigger races for him.\u201d<\/p>\n
