Community care provider Silverchain is creating 40 new local jobs in the Moorabool and Golden Plains shires to support older Victorians to remain in their home.<\/p>\n
Silverchain has recently commenced delivery of the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) in these areas. The CHSP is a government-subsidised program that helps senior residents of these shires, access entry-level support services to live independently and safely at home.<\/p>\n
Executive Director, Victoria, Carolyn Bell said Silverchain is grateful to have been warmly welcomed into the Moorabool and Golden Plains communities as part of their recent service expansion in Victoria\u2019s west.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur organisation is now recruiting for more than 40 local roles to join our thriving care team. We are committed to serving the local community with both home care services and fulfilling career opportunities, with a range of flexible and rewarding roles available now,\u201d Ms Bell said.<\/p>\n
\u201cProviding care in people\u2019s homes allows older people to maintain their independence and remain where they are most comfortable.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a fantastic care team in the Moorabool and Golden Plains shires and we are keen to grow our local base so we can provide a greater range of aged care services in our clients\u2019 homes.\u201d<\/p>\n
Training is provided and career progression opportunities are available and supported across Silverchain. We are looking for both full time, part time and casual employees for a range of roles, including Personal Care Workers and Domestic Assistants. These important roles include supporting clients with everyday activities to help them remain at home, like general housekeeping, personal care, laundry and food preparation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile experience in aged, community or disability care is desirable, it is not essential. We are looking for people who have a passion to serve and support others, particularly assisting our older generation to continue to live independently at home,\u201d Ms Bell said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
