The Victorian Seniors Festival is back for its 40th year next month, and a range of information sessions, workshops, and Devonshire tea sittings will be held in Moorabool to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n
For older Victorians who want to travel outside Moorabool to attend Festival events, a Victorian Seniors Card entitles you to free travel on public transport services \u2013 including V\/Line \u2013 from 2 to 9 October.<\/p>\n
The state-wide event has been boosted by an extra $400,000 in funding, and will also feature online and radio programs, First Nations performances, and entertainment from multicultural artists.<\/p>\n
\u201cVictoria\u2019s seniors make an invaluable contribution to our community \u2013 and the seniors festival is a chance to say thank you for all they do,\u201d Minister for Disability, Ageing, and Carers, Colin Brooks, said.<\/p>\n
“Whether online or in-person, the month-long festival provides senior Victorians with opportunities to get involved, meet new people, learn new skills, or just enjoy the entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n
