A local not-for-profit learning centre and food relief provider has benefitted from Community Bank investment into green programs, with applications still open for funding.<\/p>\n
The Darley Neighbourhood House is one of the first funding recipients under the Bacchus Marsh Community Bank Branch\u2019s \u2018Green Grants Program\u2019, with funding delivered for solar panels.<\/p>\n
These solar panels, which have already been installed, will reduce the Neighbourhood House\u2019s carbon footprint, and also bring down energy costs, allowing more funds to be used for programs and services.<\/p>\n
Applications are open for Green Grants Program funding until Wednesday 30 November.<\/p>\n
Applicants must be located within or offer a project within the Bacchus Marsh area (postcode 3340), with eligible projects including those relating to waste reduction and recycling, growing and sharing food, and protecting local biodiversity.<\/p>\n
