SES, ambulance, and police have responded to a crash at the Avenue of Honour in Bacchus Marsh, with a woman needing to be rescued from her car.<\/p>\n
Rescue crews from the Bacchus Marsh SES Unit arrived at the crash near the Woolpack Road intersection at 8.25 am on Thursday 15 September, where a ute collided with a truck, and then a tree.<\/p>\n
Bacchus Marsh SES Unit Controller Bill Robson said the female driver of the ute was \u201cfound to be trapped\u201d when SES Rescue crews arrived.<\/p>\n
\u201cSES crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the driver side doors, then worked with Ambulance Victoria crews to extricate the patient into the waiting ambulance,\u201d Mr Robson told the Moorabool News.<\/p>\n
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said two people were injured in the collision.<\/p>\n
\u201cAmbulance Victoria was called to a report of a multi vehicle crash in Bacchus Marsh on Thursday 15 September. Paramedics treated a woman in her 40s for non-life-threatening upper body injuries, she was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cA teenage girl was also treated for non-life-threatening upper body injuries, she was taken to Royal Children\u2019s Hospital, also in a stable condition.\u201d<\/p>\n
A Victoria Police spokesperson said police are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the collision.<\/p>\n
\u201cMoorabool Highway Patrol investigators were told the truck and utility collided at the intersection of Woolpack and Bacchus Marsh roads, causing the utility to crash into a tree at 8.30am,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe driver of the utility, a 47-year-old Balliang woman and her 12-year-old daughter, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck, 23-year-old St Arnaud man, had no injuries.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
