Victoria Police have thanked the community for providing feedback and ideas on service delivery, with almost 9,500 people taking part across the state.<\/p>\n
As part of plans to develop a future service delivery model, Victoria Police asked Victorians to take the \u2018Service Delivery Survey\u2019 earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Participants were asked questions such as what contact they\u2019ve had with Victoria Police, how they would like Victoria Police to prioritise resources in the future, and how Victoria Police could improve quality and efficiency of services.<\/p>\n
The results show that the key safety concerns in the community are people affected by drugs or alcohol, home burglary, theft, and hoon driving.<\/p>\n
To improve community safety, the most common ideas suggested were greater presence on the roads, community forums, school engagement, attendance at events, and visible police presence including through foot and bike patrols.<\/p>\n
Following on from the survey, Victoria Police intend to run a roadshow across the state, delivering community meetings and workshops in both Melbourne and regional Victoria to further engage with the community.<\/p>\n
