Train passengers will benefit from a new V\/Line timetable that will see the addition of 18 new services on the Ballarat Line.
\nSome trains will depart earlier or later as part of the new timetable, and changes will be made to stopping patterns, adding more services for stations along the line.
\nThe new timetable will also adjust the timing of some V\/Line coaches and local bus services that connect with trains.
\nThe additions will include nine weekend and nine weekday services, with weekend services delivering an average 60-minute frequency between 7am and 7pm.
\nMinister for Public Transport Jacinta Allan unveiled the new timetable last month.
\nShe said the changes would boost services across the state.
\n\u201cThese extra services will mean we have added more than 230 extra services this year alone \u2013 helping regional passengers get to where they need to go sooner,\u201d she said.
\n\u201cWe\u2019re delivering the services and infrastructure regional Victoria needs as it grows. We are providing more choice for regional people who want to head to the footy, see a show or visit loved ones \u2013 whether that be in Melbourne or across the state.\u201d
\nV\/Line now runs more than 2000 services every week \u2013 a 40 per cent increase since the Labor Government took office.
\nMs Allan said passengers will also benefit in the future from the Victorian and Federal Government\u2019s $1.6 billion Regional Rail Revival, which will deliver more train services and better rail infrastructure for regional Victorians.
\nTimetables are now available from www.vline.com.au\/27august. Passengers are also able to pick up printed timetables from stations and plan their trip using the Plan a Journey tool on the V-Line website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
