After the flooding rains last Thursday, we were fortunate enough that the track at Masons Lane Reserve recovered well and our kids were able to proceed with their weekly little athletics competition.<\/p>\n
Registration numbers continue to grow, with lots of new athletes joining the Centre this season.<\/p>\n
An impressive 296 PBs were recorded on Saturday morning, as the children begin to repeat events and see improvements taking place.<\/p>\n
This Saturday will be the Centre Combined Event.\u00a0This is the scheduled weekly meet for the Centre. All athletes will compete in five events (hurdles, sprint, distance, discus & long jump) gaining points in each event.<\/p>\n
All five events must be competed in to have completed the Combined Event.\u00a0Athletes must arrive by 8.30am for the first event.\u00a0If one event is not competed in, that athlete will be deemed ineligible to win an award.<\/p>\n
Presentations will be made the following week. Trophies are awarded to the winners of each age group with medals for second and third.\u00a0All athletes will receive a Certificate of Participation.<\/p>\n
Athletes must be in correct uniform (Club polo and plain black shorts), including Commonwealth Bank registration tags.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
