Moorabool young people will be awarded for their achievements at a free event \u2013 the Moorabool Youth Awards & Youth Forum.<\/p>\n

On Thursday 17 November, young people, their families, and the whole Moorabool community are invited to the free event at Bacchus Marsh Town Hall, which runs from 6 pm to 8 pm.<\/p>\n

Keynote speaker and bestselling author Luke S. Kennedy will share his knowledge and lived experiences, while also addressing this year\u2019s theme, \u2018Be Odd-inary\u2019, encouraging young people to be true to themselves and embrace their individuality.<\/p>\n

There will also be music, performances, entertainers, a photo booth, and prizes to be won on the night.<\/p>\n

The 2022 Youth Awards will be presented on the night, with the award winners receiving plaques acknowledging their contribution to their community.<\/p>\n

Young people aged between 13 to 25 years, who have made a significant contribution within the community, are eligible for a Youth Award.<\/p>\n

The categories are the Community Development Award, Group Project Award, Inclusion and Diversity Award, Personal Growth Award, Creative Art Award, Positive Influencer Award, and the Volunteer Award, and will be awarded in two age categories: 13 \u2013 17 years, and 18 \u2013 25 years.<\/p>\n

Nominations for the 2022 Youth Awards are open until 11.59 pm on Sunday 6 November, so if you know a young person who\u2019s done great work for their community this year, head to www.moorabool.vic.gov.au\/Events\/Youth-Forum-and-Youth-Awards, and download the nomination form.<\/p>\n
