{"id":12277,"date":"2022-11-01T07:00:48","date_gmt":"2022-10-31T20:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/themooraboolnews.com.au\/?p=12277"},"modified":"2024-02-01T20:10:53","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T09:10:53","slug":"bacchus-marsh-little-athletics-29","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/sport\/bacchus-marsh-little-athletics-29\/","title":{"rendered":"Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After last Saturday\u2019s wash out, the Centre endeavoured to complete the annual Combined Event at Thursday night\u2019s Twilight Meet, unfortunately the weather once again turned for the worse and the rescheduled meet was cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>Athletes then returned to Masons Lane Reserve for the regular Saturday morning meet.\u00a0Thankfully the forecast was a little better and competition was quickly underway.<\/p>\n<p>Athletes competed in blustery winds, the odd light showers and some very appreciated sunshine. In the unpredictable conditions athletes recorded a very impressive 200 Personal Best results.<\/p>\n<p>PB Stars of the Week were awarded to Saatvik Dwarampudi, Bowie Clarke, Millicent Johansen, Angus Jacobson, Mia Hendry, Meekah Barrie, Aurora Browney and Aarav Moorthy.<\/p>\n<p>The Centre received some great news during the week with Coles Ambassador and Australian Olympian Matthew Denny flying down from Queensland visiting the Centre for Coles Community Round on Saturday 19th November.<\/p>\n<p>Matt is an Olympian Finalist, World Championship Finalist, Commonwealth Games gold and silver medallist, World Youth Champion, and nine-time National Champion.<\/p>\n<p>Next Saturday\u2019s Centre meet will be Program 1 commencing at 8.45am.\u00a0Boomerangs Club are on set-up duty.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After last Saturday\u2019s wash out, the Centre endeavoured to complete the annual Combined Event at Thursday night\u2019s Twilight Meet, unfortunately the weather once again turned for the worse and the rescheduled meet was cancelled.
