Bushfires might not be in the forefront of your mind with the recent rain and floods, but the CFA is urging Victorians to plan ahead.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s always better to be safe than sorry, and with summer almost upon us, the CFA is reminding people not to get caught out last minute if a fire is approaching.<\/p>\n
Before the fire season starts, it\u2019s important to practise how to pack the car, to make sure you can do it quickly and easily in an emergency situation.<\/p>\n
Important items and information should be kept in a safe place \u2013 it\u2019s a good idea to keep photos and information on a USB flash drive or external hard drive, in case physical copies are damaged.<\/p>\n
You should also prepare an emergency kit, with essential items to including being change of clothes, toiletries, medicine\/first aid, your mobile phone and charger, water, wool blankets, contact information for your doctor, council and power company, additional face masks, hand sanitiser, and antibacterial wipes.<\/p>\n
