A Darley woman is embracing the spirit of giving this Christmas, wrapping gifts for a donation for local food relief.<\/p>\n
Kaz Pinder previously made and gave away around 6,000 face masks through the COVID-19 pandemic, and now she\u2019s wrapping Christmas presents, with all proceeds going to the Soul Food program.<\/p>\n
Ms Pinder said food relief organisations are pushed to their limits at this time of year, and she wanted to help with their crucial work.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought it\u2019d be nice if I could help them in some way, and I don\u2019t mind wrapping presents, I actually enjoy it,\u201d she told the Moorabool News.<\/p>\n
\u201cOver the last two years they\u2019ve gone and grabbed face masks off me. Speaking to the lady who comes to pick them up, especially in the lead-up to last Christmas\u2026she told me how hard it was. I thought, well that\u2019s where I\u2019m going, plenty of other people step in and help other organisations, so I thought I\u2019d help a local one out.\u201d<\/p>\n
As for the donations, Ms Pinder says people are free to choose how much they want to donate, and \u201cit doesn\u2019t even have to be money\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s no set fee, just whatever you want to give. It can be anything at all, it doesn\u2019t have to be cash,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
