Forest Fire Management Victoria crews in the Midlands District have been hard at work repairing recreation sites and walking tracks in the Wombat State Forest.<\/p>\n
The following sites were damaged during the 2021 storms and have now been repaired:<\/p>\n
▪ Lyonville Springs
\n▪ Nolans Creek Picnic Area
\n▪ Wombat Dam Picnic Area
\n▪ Lerderderg River Heritage Walk<\/p>\n
Crews have built new picnic tables, installed new fire pits, replaced bollards with rocks, improved pathways to make them more accessible and planted more native grasses.<\/p>\n
Take the time to visit these beautiful sites in the Grampians region and try out the new amenities.<\/p>\n
