Prepare thyself for an introduction into the worketh of William Shakespeare. <\/p>\n

A new course run by the University of the Third Age in Bacchus Marsh will explore and revise a number of popular Shakespearean tales and sonnets.
\nWell-known local retired teacher Geoff Camm will lead the course, which will commence on Wednesday October 18. <\/p>\n

Mr Camm\u2019s teaching career spanned over four decades, starting at Bacchus Marsh High School, followed by several other Western suburbs schools and finishing at Melton Secondary College. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a great privilege to see people’s minds open up and experience great literature,\u201d Mr Camm said. <\/p>\n

\u201cRetirement is fine but I miss that interaction you have between yourself as a teacher and each individual student\u201d. <\/p>\n

The educational course will study the tragedy of Macbeth, the humorous Twelfth Night and a number of well-known sonnets. <\/p>\n

Mr Camm said he understood that people often found Shakespeare difficult. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut I guarantee that that is not true,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cPeople should give it a go and I am confident they will enjoy every minute of it, and be so proud of themselves and what they have achieved by the end of the course.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Shakespeare course is available to members of the Bacchus Mash U3A and will run from 1:30pm to 3:30pm on Wednesdays at Lerderderg Library. <\/p>\n
