Gordon resident, Andrew Borg is a master guitarist. When you listen to him play, and sing, it\u2019s clear Andrew knows his way around a fret board. <\/p>\n
Andrew recently released an album of original songs called \u2018Let Me Dream Our Life\u2019, which is a mix of blues, soul and blues-rock, played on acoustic, electric and slide guitar. <\/p>\n
Only weeks out from the release of his album, Andrew is already receiving airtime from regional radio stations, including Ballarat Blues, 99.9 Voice FM.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s no surprise then, that Andrew is included in a line-up of talented musicians set to perform at the forthcoming \u2018Autumn Blues Festival\u2019 at the Bacchus Marsh Racecourse over the Labour Day long weekend, on Sunday 12 March.<\/p>\n
Autumn Blues is the creation of Darley-based Felicity Ashman, who runs a local events company, \u2018Urban Markets\u2019. The festival will include live blues music, food vans, market stalls and family entertainment. <\/p>\n
Tickets are reasonably priced at $55 and for an extra $5, festival-goers can catch a shuttle bus to and from Bacchus Marsh train station.<\/p>\n
Starting at 11 am and running through until 10 pm, well-known blues performers will include: Andrew Borg, Wayne Jury & Shannon Bourne, the Kelly Auty Band, the Anna Scionti Band, Checkerboard Lounge, and Hey Gringo.<\/p>\n
So if you\u2019re looking for something relaxing and \u2018bluesy\u2019 to do over the Labour Day long weekend, grab a ticket to Autumn Blues and prepare for a fabulous day out. If Andrew Borg\u2019s guitar skills are anything to go by, you won\u2019t be disappointed!<\/p>\n
