{"id":15395,"date":"2023-06-29T07:00:17","date_gmt":"2023-06-28T21:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/themooraboolnews.com.au\/?p=15395"},"modified":"2024-02-01T18:54:23","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T07:54:23","slug":"community-grants-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/news\/community-grants-released\/","title":{"rendered":"Community grants released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest round of community grants recipients has been announced, with projects ranging from an electronic scoreboard to a wildlife program.<\/p>\n<p>The list of recipients was approved at Moorabool Shire Council\u2019s Ordinary Meeting on 7 June, with the Ballan Football Netball Club receiving $54,917 for an electronic scoreboard at the Ballan Recreation Reserve, and the Bacchus Marsh Platypus Alliance receiving $3,000 for a public art sculpture titled \u2018Platypus at Play\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other grant recipients were:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wombat Regional Arts Network \u2013 musical concert ($3000)<br \/>\nBlackwood Times \u2013 technological enhancements ($3000)<br \/>\nBallan Shire Historical Society \u2013 book reprinting ($5000)<br \/>\nElaine Mechanics Institute Hall \u2013 life saving equipment ($1844.50)<br \/>\nMoorabool Gardens for Wildlife \u2013 wildlife program ($1000)<br \/>\nBacchus Marsh Lawn Tennis Club \u2013 inclusive tennis tournament ($3000)<br \/>\nMount Wallace Hall and Reserve \u2013 open mic events ($3000)<br \/>\nWoodlands Wildlife Rescue \u2013 community awareness project ($2910)<\/p>\n<p>Moorabool Shire Mayor Cr Rod Ward congratulated the recipients, and said the new scoreboard in Ballan would complement the new pavilion being built at the Recreation Reserve.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of these projects and programs are very worthy grant recipients and will bring great benefit to our communities.
