A final decision has been made on Ballarat Football Netball League (BFNL) finals venues, and it won\u2019t surprise many local sports fans.<\/span><\/p>\n

A fortnight ago, the BFNL announced that Darley Park had been set as the host of three finals \u2013 the BFLW Semi Final 2, and the BFNL Seniors\u2019 Qualifying Final and Elimination Final 1 \u2013 with Maddingley Park available as a back-up \u201cif the facilities at Darley Park are not completed\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week a definitive choice of venue was made.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe McDonalds Ballarat FNL would like to announce that Maddingley Park will host finals in the 2023 BFNL and BFLW Finals Series,\u201d a BFNL spokesperson said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAfter consultation with Moorabool Shire Council and the BFNL Board a decision was made that Maddingley Park would be used as a finals venue instead of Darley Park. The League had no guarantee that Darley Park would be ready in time for the 2023 BFNL and BFLW <\/span>Finals series, hence the decision to lock in Maddingley Park.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

BFLW Semi Final 2 will be held on 27 August, while the BFNL Senior Finals matches will be held on 2 and 3 September.<\/span><\/p>\n
