Two earthquakes hit Victoria last week, with the epicentre of the second near Bacchus Marsh.<\/p>\n
It wasn\u2019t a significant earthquake, measuring at just 2.8 on the Richter scale, but some residents reported being woken up by the earthquake or feeling it at work, while others left comments on social media such as \u201cI felt nothing and I am up at 4am\u201d, and \u201cwasn\u2019t even aware of it until I read the paper\u201d.<\/p>\n
VicEmergency reported that the quake hit at 2.48am, southwest of Bacchus Marsh, on Friday 25 August.<\/p>\n
No damage has been reported as a result of the earthquake.<\/p>\n
The Bacchus Marsh quake came less than a week after a similar earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 hit the regional town of Rawson, around 24 kilometres north of Moe.<\/p>\n
