A new all-abilities sculpture trail has officially been opened this month, with the opening attended by a State Government Minister.<\/p>\n
Victorian Minister for Regional Development, Harriet Shing, joined Mayor Cr Rod Ward, Cr Moira Berry, and Member for Eureka Michaela Settle, to launch the trail, which connects Telford Park with the 1000+ Steps at Bald Hill, on Thursday 14 September.<\/p>\n
The official opening was followed by a walk to the trail summit. The wheelchair-accessible, all-weather trail includes seating, tables, a shelter and an accessible toilet.<\/p>\n
Cr Ward encouraged residents and visitors to experience the trail and, if they\u2019re feeling active, climb the steps to the viewing platform on Bald Hill.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe sculpture trail is stage 2 of the Bald Hill activation project and has created a beautiful space at Telford Park,\u201d Cr Ward said.<\/p>\n
This project has been made possible by the Victorian Government, with $1.6 million funded by Regional Development Victoria, on top of $500,000 in State Government funding provided for the first stage \u2013 the construction of the steps.<\/p>\n
