CYNTA is a local singer-songwriter in Moorabool, recently released a new single titled T’s & C\u2019s, offering listeners an intimate look into interpersonal dynamics. Based on real-life experiences, CYNTA draws from two situations that unfolded simultaneously in her life.<\/p>\n
CYNTA told the Moorabool News the song was inspired by two situations that unfolded in her life at similar times. <\/p>\n
\u201cI had a friend of mine that wanted to date me, and I just wasn\u2019t in the same boat as him. He meant a lot to me, and I still wanted us to be friends, but in order for that to proceed, he wanted me to follow all these \u2018rules and unrealistic boundaries.\u201d<\/p>\n
The single delves into the feelings of entrapment and frustration which unfortunately can arise in relationships.<\/p>\n
\u201cI felt like I was literally signing a contract with all these unnecessary and excessive commands,\u201d said CYNTA.<\/p>\n
Musically, T’s & C’s presents an evolution in CYNTA’s style, particularly with its chord progressions. This change was partly in response to feedback from a university teacher who once critiqued her songwriting approach.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe chords of the song were inspired by a uni teacher of mine, who told me that the chord progressions I used in my songs were \u2018boring\u2019. So, T\u2019s & C\u2019s goes on quite a melodic journey.\u201d<\/p>\n
Behind the scenes, CYNTA collaborated with Kyle Collins, a talented guitarist she’s known for years. <\/p>\n
\u201cI brought him on board to record the guitar for this song because I knew he would be perfect for this project,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Additionally, she teamed up with ZEO, a producer she met through TikTok, who played an instrumental role in bringing the song to its final form.<\/p>\n
