With storms and high winds impacting parts of the state, let\u2019s look out for our wildlife.<\/p>\n

Wild winds can sometimes nudge fledgling birds off their nests, and it\u2019s perfectly normal for them to spend a few days on the ground, cared for by their parents. <\/p>\n

However, if you can\u2019t locate the parents, or the bird is very young, it should be reported.<\/p>\n

You can contact the closest wildlife carers and organisations using this tool<\/a>, or contact Wildlife Victoria on 03 8400 7300.<\/p>\n

Remember, wildlife can become disoriented during extreme weather, but if they’re unharmed, please give them the space they need to recover without disturbance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
