\nThe 2019 Moorabool Shire Council Youth Awards nominations are now open.
\nThis year\u2019s categories include Significant Achievement, Significant Community Service, Overcoming Significant Adversity, a Mayoral Award and Young Achiever Award.
\nPrevious winners include Nathan Borg, a profoundly deaf actor and model, and Shannon Craggill, a State-level cyclist.
\n\u201cWe really encourage the community to nominate a worthy youth for an award,\u201d said Moorabool Mayor Paul Tatchell.
\n\u201cThese awards are a great way to reward youth for making a significant contribution to our community and establishing themselves as future leaders in a variety of fields,\u201d he said.
\nThe awards will be presented at a ceremony in late April 2019 as part of Moorabool\u2019s Youth Month.
\nNomination forms must be completed and returned to Council by 5pm on Friday 1 March 2019.
\nIf a nominee is under 18 years of age, they must have parent or guardian permission to nominate.
