IF you\u2019ve been mulling over getting a tattoo, this could be the push you need \u2013 a local tattoo parlour is donating all proceeds from an upcoming Flash Day to the Good Friday Appeal.<\/p>\n
On Friday 29 March, the tender feeling of getting some inkwork done will come with a fuzzy feeling too, at Bacchus Marsh\u2019s Disciples of Ink.<\/p>\n
For the third year running, the local tattoo parlour will donate all proceeds from any flash designs done to the Appeal, and raised close to $10,000 last year.<\/p>\n
Though the crew is a bit smaller this year, Disciples of Ink owner Kieran Tyrrell said they\u2019d do their best to break five figures for the cause.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re hopeful, we\u2019ll give it a good hard crack. We had a full suite of four artists last year, we\u2019ve got three this time around,\u201d Mr Tyrrell said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m surprised by the amount of people that turn up on the day, and the feedback I get from people is that they\u2019re really keen to do it and give to the Royal Children\u2019s Hospital at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n
The set flash designs range from $100 to $200, and a raffle will also run on the day for $5 a ticket.<\/p>\n
Prizes include a day sit with Mr Tyrrell valued at $1200, a meat tray from Ballan and Bacchus Marsh Local Butcher, and a Foodworks voucher.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re working on a few other places to donate some raffle prizes as well, so we\u2019ll hopefully have some more prizes on the day,\u201d Mr Tyrrell said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll be drawing the raffle at 5pm on the Friday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re hoping the community will dig deep. We\u2019re limiting tickets again this year, we\u2019ll know more about quotas soon but I\u2019m guessing there\u2019ll be 40 to 60 spots available.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Tyrrell suggests those eager for some inkwork should get in early, with doors opening at 9am.<\/p>\n
