A young Moorabool resident has been awarded a scholarship to help pursue commitment to learning.
\nWinter Greet hails from Mollongghip and has commenced her studies in a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne, following her achievement as 2019s recipient for the Ballan & District Community Bank Branch Scholarship for first-time university students.
\nMs Greet said she was \u201cvery excited\u201d to find out she had received the scholarship, and was encouraged by some of the staff at the Ballan branch to apply for the grant, as they told her that \u201cnot many people had applied in the past before.\u201d
\nMs Greet\u2019s decision paid off, receiving $2000 to contribute toward her studies, accommodation fees and general expenses for the first year of her degree.
\nAs for her career goals, Ms Greet hopes to continue her academic journey with \u201ca postgraduate degree in International Relations or Political Journalism.\u201d
\nThe Bendigo Bank Scholarship is for students living in rural and regional Australia, and is for first-time, first-year university students who wish to study full time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
