{"id":29942,"date":"2024-06-09T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-08T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/?p=29942"},"modified":"2024-06-05T21:20:06","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T11:20:06","slug":"artists-open-their-hearts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/living\/artists-open-their-hearts\/","title":{"rendered":"Artists open their hearts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AN arts group has poured their hearts into works which are now on display in Lerderderg Library.<\/p>\n<p>Since April, Bacchus Marsh Arts Community (BMAC) Gallery has asked for artists to submit decorated wooden hearts for the Everybody Has a Heart exhibition, and last Thursday, 88 submissions were hung up in the Moor Art Space.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2024\/06\/IMG_7266_94434.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">All the works have the same wooden base, but tell very different stories.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BMAC Gallery secretary Bev Baker said the group was thrilled to see so many entries in the showcase.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s so much, and such a variety of works that people submitted. People really got on-board with this exhibition,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve still got quite a few to come actually. It might be hard to fit them all.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Designs created by the local artists include a heart-shaped box of chocolates, a piece honouring suffragette Vida Goldstein, and many celebrations of love and nature.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re very happy.
