{"id":30053,"date":"2024-06-17T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-16T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/?p=30053"},"modified":"2024-06-12T16:34:41","modified_gmt":"2024-06-12T06:34:41","slug":"new-hub-for-navigators","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/news\/new-hub-for-navigators\/","title":{"rendered":"New hub for Navigators"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WORKS on a new community centre for the town of Navigators are set to be finished before the end of the year, with a range of new facilities to be made available.<\/p>\n<p>More than $600,000 has been provided for a new Navigators Community Hub, located at 344 Navigators Road.<\/p>\n<p>Works commenced in April, and are scheduled for completion in October.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2024\/06\/447779854_7768274379_41176.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"270\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The hub will replace the old facilities.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The hub will replace the old hall and public toilets, and will be designed to hold a range of events and groups from Navigators and the surrounding communities.<\/p>\n<p>It will include a multi-purpose space, kitchen, storage and accessible amenities available for the community and visitors to use.<\/p>\n<p>Also in the works are new tennis club rooms.<\/p>\n<p>Moorabool Shire Council has advised that the public toilets will be temporarily affected by the works, and will be unavailable until construction of the Community Hub is complete.<\/p>\n<p>$326,000 has been contributed by the State Government under Round 2 of the Regional Infrastructure Fund, and $200,000 from the Federal Government under Round 4 of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.<\/p>\n<p>The final $117,000 was provided by Moorabool Shire Council.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WORKS on a new community centre for the town of Navigators are set to be finished before the end of the year, with a range of new facilities to be made available.
