{"id":30063,"date":"2024-06-13T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-12T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/?p=30063"},"modified":"2024-06-14T15:52:31","modified_gmt":"2024-06-14T05:52:31","slug":"art-show-fifty-two-years-strong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/living\/art-show-fifty-two-years-strong\/","title":{"rendered":"Art show fifty-two years strong"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OVER five decades of art shows has helped a not-for-profit organisation raise tens of thousands of dollars for local projects, and raise the profile of many artists.<\/p>\n<p>The 52nd Bacchus Marsh Rotary Art Show and Sale, the longest running art show in regional Victoria, was held on the King&#8217;s Birthday long weekend at the Public Hall, with a gala evening kicking off the event.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s judge, Edwina Green, said it was an honour to judge, and thanked artists for submitting their works.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This art show has so much diverse talent,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I congratulate all prize winners.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Jon Lam received the Diana Gibson award for Best Watercolour and said he had been entering for many years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am amazed every year that this art show just gets better,&#8221;
