WIZARDING fun will be on offer in Moorabool Shire this month with four weeks of magical fun.<\/p>\n
Magic Moorabool encourages children to get creative at Ballan and Lederberg Libraries throughout August.<\/p>\n
The program idea stemmed from Harry Potter month which was held within the last two years.<\/p>\n
“This year, it expands its focus to align with the Children’s Book Council of Australia theme, reading is magic,” said Moorabool Shire mayor Cr Ally Munari.<\/p>\n
“The program aims to capture the enchantment of various magical literary worlds and showcases the magic in all forms of reading.”<\/p>\n
In Ballan there will be magical crafternoons, and butterbeer slime making, potion classes, a triwizard tournament and wand making will be on offer in Bacchus Marsh.<\/p>\n
“Craft activities inspired by popular books allow children to bring literary elements to life,” said Cr Munari.<\/p>\n
“This tactile approach reinforces connections to stories and encourages children to think beyond the page.”<\/p>\n
Cr Munari said it is important to encourage children to visit libraries.<\/p>\n
“By associating creativity with reading and libraries, children are more likely to become lifelong learners and maintain their curiosity and innovative spirit,” she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
