{"id":31140,"date":"2024-08-30T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-29T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/?p=31140"},"modified":"2024-08-28T17:58:34","modified_gmt":"2024-08-28T07:58:34","slug":"book-week-magic-in-the-marsh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/living\/book-week-magic-in-the-marsh\/","title":{"rendered":"Book Week magic in the Marsh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PRIMARY school pupils across the Moorabool region have celebrated a magical Book Week 2024.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s Children&#8217;s Book Council of Australia event had the theme of Reading is Magic, which students at Bacchus Marsh Primary School embraced.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2024\/08\/IMG_5849_31709.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Billie got into the magic of the week.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BMPS literacy learning specialist Hayley Bonnici said children at her school took part in activities that had a focus on fostering a love of reading, promoting the joy of being read to, and the fun of live theatre.<\/p>\n<p>Year 5 student Hannah led a book swap, where pupils could share an old reader and pick up a new one to take home, while a Where&#8217;s Wally? scavenger hunt got kids exploring.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2024\/08\/IMG_5828_31797.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Year 3 staff in the spirit.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>CBCA short-listed books were enjoyed by the children before they voted for their favourites.
