{"id":31343,"date":"2024-09-20T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-19T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/?p=31343"},"modified":"2024-09-20T13:36:21","modified_gmt":"2024-09-20T03:36:21","slug":"award-winning-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/themooraboolnews\/living\/award-winning-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Award winning festival returns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE region&#8217;s celebration of music, art, nature, and food is returning for a second time.<\/p>\n<p>Hide and Seek festival will be back this November allowing locals and visitors to explore the hidden treasures of Moorabool Shire.<\/p>\n<p>A range of events will be on offer in the towns of Ballan, Gordon, Blackwood, Bacchus Marsh, Myrniong and Leigh Creek.<\/p>\n<p>Some of these include yoga in the park, a degustation dinner, a fairy doors arts trail walk, and a wind phone installation.<\/p>\n<p>Ballan&#8217;s FlackPTO Gallery is one of the creative businesses getting involved with cyanotype workshops, exhibitions and live music.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31411\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31411\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-31411 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2024\/09\/Untitled-design-23-1-1024x538.jpg?_t=1726803332\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2024\/09\/Untitled-design-23-1-1024x538.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2024\/09\/Untitled-design-23-1-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2024\/09\/Untitled-design-23-1-768x403.jpg 768w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2024\/09\/Untitled-design-23-1.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31411\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mayor Cr Ally Munari launched the program for this year&#8217;s Hide and Seek Festival.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The workshop is to do with the early 1900s photography, and you basically coat the paper with an egg and expose it with sunlight,&#8221; said gallery owner Danielle Briglia.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I just think it&#8217;s great for the community and being aware that Ballan is here as a lot of people don&#8217;t know about this little town and I think it&#8217;s got a lot to offer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural Hide and Seek festival was held in 2022 and it was the winner of the national award for Local Government creativity and culture.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re super excited obviously to launch the second Hide and Seek Festival; it was such a success two years ago to the point where the council even won an award,&#8221; said Moorabool Shire mayor Cr Ally Munari.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think it was a little bit unexpected and it&#8217;s so exciting for our smaller towns to showcase what they are about.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hide and Seek festival will be on Friday 1 November until Sunday 10 November.
